Whether you envision a painting of a specific location that has significant memories for you, or would like Jon to capture a particular type of floral arrangement, or even desire a portrait, Jon would love to bring your concept to life. Below is a guide that covers both the pricing and the steps involved in commissioning a custom painting.
Process of Commissioning
Consultation: Reach out via email to request a commissioned painting followed by an initial phone conversation. This allows you to share your ideas, preferences, and any specific elements you would like to include in the painting.
Commission Agreement Form : Jon will compile the gathered information into a commission agreement document, which will provide a clear outline for the painting and deposit details.
Deposit: Once you approve the proposal, a 50% deposit will be required to secure your commission.
Creation: Jon will begin working on your painting.
Final Review: Upon completion, you will have the opportunity to review the painting. If any minor adjustments are needed, Jon is happy to discuss them.
Delivery: After final approval, your custom painting will be prepared for delivery. You will receive details related to shipping for your new artwork.
Pricing
Pricing varies based on the size and subject of your commission, but here are some estimates to give you an idea. Factors that influence pricing include:
Size of the painting - Jon’s commissions are based on the average price by size plus a 33% commission fee. For Example:
Small Painting - 30 x 20cm £800 (+33%) = £1060
Medium Painting - 40 x 55cm £1750 (+33%) = £2300
Large Painting - 80 x 60 cm £ 200 (+33%) = £2650
XL Painting - 100 x 75cm £2600 (+33%) = £3400
